Walmart Stops Ads on X, Joining the Advertising Exit

Walmart has announced that it is no longer advertising on Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, a move that aligns with the trend of many other prominent advertisers abandoning the platform in the past few weeks.

Despite it being the crucial holiday shopping season, the retail giant clarified that its decision was not driven by any change in advertising policies. Rather, it was based on the effectiveness of ads placed on X. Walmart significantly reduced its ad purchases on the platform starting from October, and the last ads were seen around Thanksgiving.
