Enormous factories are emerging outside Columbus, Ohio, but finding workers to fill the manufacturing jobs is proving to be a challenge. Despite the region’s low unemployment rate and a thriving logistics industry, there is a shortage of skilled workers. As a result, some managers are stepping in to work alongside their employees on the production line. Thousands of positions in the region’s plants remain unfilled.
