Marks & Spencer Expects to Meet Market Views After Strong Christmas Performance

Marks & Spencer has announced that it expects its full fiscal-year results to align with market expectations following a strong performance during the important Christmas period. The UK retailer reported a 7.2% increase in group sales for the 13 weeks ending on December 30. Sales from the food division saw an 11% increase, while the clothing & home unit experienced a 4.8% rise in sales.
