Dolby Cranks Up Volume Of Licensing Deals In Autos, TVs, PCs

LAS VEGAS — Dolby Laboratories showcased its expanding presence in new markets at the CES 2024 tech trade show. Wall Street analyst Ralph Schackart expressed optimism about Dolby’s performance and reiterated an outperform rating on the company’s stock. Dolby highlighted increased adoption of its audio and video technologies, including collaborations with automakers and TV manufacturers. The company announced partnerships with Mercedes-Benz, Amazon, and Audible, allowing customers to access content in Dolby Atmos within their vehicles. TV manufacturers like Hisense and TCL also showcased their integration of Dolby Atmos technology. Dolby Vision is extending its reach into PC gaming monitors, and Dell announced the inclusion of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in its latest XPS laptops.
